Welcome to the fascinating world of Cribbage – one of the oldest and most loved card games in the world. In this game, players are required to create card combinations to score points.
How to play:
Cribbage is a two-player game that is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. At the start of the game, each player is dealt six cards, and each player cuts the deck to determine the first dealer. The dealer shuffles the cards and then deals four cards to each player, keeping the remaining cards as a stockpile in the center of the table.
The non-dealer then flips over the top card of the stockpile, which is known as the starter card. This card is used to determine the crib, which is a separate hand created by the dealer.
Each player then takes turns playing one card at a time, starting with the non-dealer. The goal is to create card combinations that add up to 15 points, or to create runs, pairs, or combinations that add up to 31 points.
The crib is scored separately at the end of the game, and the player with the highest total point count wins the game.
