Introduction
Plants vs. Zombies is a video game franchise developed by PopCap Games, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA). The series follows the affiliates of David "Crazy Dave" Blazing as they use his plants to defend against a zombie invasion, led by Dr. Edgar George Zomboss. The first game, Plants vs. Zombies (2009), was developed and released by PopCap before its acquisition by EA. After PopCap Games‘s acquisition, EA expanded the game into a franchise with games on many different platforms.
Gameplay
1. The gameplay of this game is very simple. Your lawn is divided into many squares, and each square can accommodate a plant. Rows of zombies are stalking your house, and if they break through the defenses, it‘s game over.
2. There are various plants placed on the top of the screen. It takes sunlight to plant the plants in the grid, and the system will drop some sunlight from time to time. Of course, it will not be enough to make you carefree, so you have to plant sunflowers to produce more sunshine.
3. Note: When planting sunflowers, defensive plants should also be planted to resist the zombies at the beginning.
Game Highlights
1. A variety of zombies, each zombie has a different shape, of course, the actions of the characters corresponding to these zombies are also different;
2. Of course, the blood volume and ability of different zombies are also different, so when matching plants, players should match them according to the type of zombies;
3. Rich gameplay modes, especially the level mode in the game. There are many levels waiting for players to experience in the game.
Multiple Game Modes
In the Android versions of Plants vs. Zombies there are two options, Adventure Mode and More Ways to Play.
Adventure
Adventure Mode is the first available mode in Plants vs. Zombies. There are five groups of ten levels, which are Day, Night, Pool, Fog, and Roof; each with their own characteristics and different music. New plants are unlocked and added to the player‘s Suburban Almanac at the end of most levels. The player will meet all Suburban Almanac zombies in this mode. After the player finishes it, he or she can play this again or play other game modes.

Players need to plant sunflowers to get sunlight, so as to plant other aggressive plants to resist the attack of zombies.

During Night, sun does not fall from the sky, so mushrooms are usually used because of their low sun cost.

In Pool levels, plants must be either Aquatic or planted on a Lily Pad to be in the water.

Fog levels are a mix of night and pool levels but also have fog in the level, which can be removed temporarily with a Blover or removed with a Plantern or Torchwood until the end of the level or whenever the plant is removed with the shovel or eaten/destroyed by zombies.

Also, the roof is slanted to make the levels harder by making most of the projectiles hit the slanted part of the roof instead of the zombies, so catapult plants are used. A Night Roof setting exists, which is where the player fights Dr. Zomboss.
More Ways to Play
Puzzle
Puzzle Mode is a game mode that contains three separate puzzle types: Vasebreaker, I, Zombie and Last Stand (iOS and Android exclusive). It is unlocked after completing about half of Level 4-6 (Level 2-2 on iOS and Android). In some versions of the game, the player has to buy Puzzles from Crazy Dave‘s Twiddydinkies.
Mini Games
Mini-games are a feature that is available on the Main Menu below Adventure Mode and in the iOS version, accessible through Quick Play. You are required to beat level 3-2 (Level 2-2 on iOS and Android) of Adventure Mode to unlock Mini-games. They contain variants of the regular game, with a twist or change to make it feel different (and more fun). Some mini-games are exclusive to other versions while some may replace other ones due to incompitability with the systems.

Plants
There are almost 50 plants for players to choose from. Among the plants, there are defensive, offensive, both offensive and defensive, some produce economy, some slow down, some AOE, some single target, and some repel. There are so many combinations that require players to have a very clear combination ability. Players cannot always defend or attack all the time, they need to match plants reasonably.

Zombies
Although there are not as many types of zombies as plants, there are also many combinations: some are offensive, some are defensive, some are mining, some are driving forklifts, some are with huge bodies, and some are dancing. They are smart enough to catch players off guard and in a hurry.

Summary
The game design is very simple, that is, the player represents the plants, and through reasonable matching, they can resist the attack of zombies. The game has a lot of interesting settings and very innovative scenes, whether it is entry, advanced, depth, or hardcore, it is a perfect game.
