        To my point of view, Mr. Hopp‘s Playhouse is a outstanding side-scrolling platform game, and a successful mixture of terror, mystery and adventure. And I spent failed a lot of times in this game, and of course, I felt the fear deeply from the scary rabbit - Mr. Hopp, which may be the most scariest rabbit in the wold.
Easy Controls

       This gameplay is similar to other side-scrolling platform games, so it’s so easy for players to understand the operation and rules for a experienced game player, while it’s a friendly game at first for novices because they provide a safe environment for learning controls and mechanics while providing meaningful assistance and guidance.
Mixture of Terror, Mystery And Adventure
Terror
       Terror is a typical and special features for this series of games, and jumpscares is a typical and special features for the terrors in this game. At first, the most of fear comes from a rabbit doll called Mr. Hopp. When you are fulfilling tasks, the Big Mr. Hopp was walking round the rooms, and you never know which place he will be in the next time. While, when you come across Mr. Hopp, a jumpscare - Mr. Hopp’s big face pops up, which will brings you a such sudden fright like the following picture with piercing shrieks. And with a higher level you get, the jumpscare picture will became more and more scary, and stimulate your nerves constantly.

       Secondly, the players will never know where is the Mr. Hopp coming from, and it seems like the rabbit could do a flash move. The only thing you could do at first is to tell the distance of this monster from you and hide from him, or to crouch behind the furniture immediately. However, the really difficult thing about hiding from the ugly rabbit is that you need to jump over these scattered toys, in case of triggering noise and then attracting unwanted attentions from Mr. Hopp.

       Lastly, some big scary hands will pop up form the wall and floor to catch the players suddenly, making player can not relax their nerves.
Mystery
       The game did a nice job in puzzle and mystery too within it’s game plot settings. The operation is simple, just to move and investigate items, and there are no difficult puzzles, which facilitate players find routes in such a tense and terror situation. What’s the relationship between grandmother and Mr. Hopp always attracts players continue this game again and again. Several total different endings encourage players to explore more playing methods.
Adventure
        In the last period of this game, the little girl Ruby gets the slingshot, and need to find Mr. Hopp to have a fight, which makes this game becoming a adventure-oriented game. That’s interesting!
Spooky Sound and Pixel Style Pictures
       This game has a unique feature in excellent spooky sound and special pixel style picture. And the players could tell the distance from the changing background music, and the music will become increasing tense and terrifying. And the special pixel style picture create a unique and mysterious atmosphere too.
Summary:
       As I know, this series have 3 versions now, and the third one is 3D version, but a lot of players thought that the Mr. Hopp in the first two versions is more exciting and scary. May be that’s the charming of pixel style.
